Broadcast Australia is Australia's leading broadcast services provider. A company that owns and operates the most extensive terrestrial broadcasting network in the country, a vital national asset that a wide range of customers depend upon. Broadcast Australia provides transmission services for radio and television (analogue and digital) broadcasters and offers site sharing and infrastructure services.
Broadcast Australia is a 100% owned subsidiary of Macquarie Communications Infrastructure Group, an entity listed on the Australian Stock Exchange (ASX code: MCG).
How do we do it?
Our network covers approximately 600 strategic transmission sites across metropolitan, regional and rural Australia and our core business is the transmission of the television and radio broadcasts of the ABC and SBS to over 99% of households. What's more, our network is an important resource for our other customers including commercial television and radio broadcasters, community broadcasters, telecommunications operators and the emergency services who utilise the facilities on our sites.
We are at the heart of communications in regional and rural Australia, where the majority of our sites are located, and with continued investment, our business plan intends to improve the range, reach and quality of services across the country.
