One of Australia?s leading food manufacturers and a national icon, SPC Ardmona employs up to 3300 people at the height of the fruit-processing season. As well as being a leading employer in the Goulburn Valley, SPCA has branches all over Australia and joint ventures in Thailand and Spain, offering talented individuals diverse and rewarding employment opportunities.
The company was formed in 2002 with the merger of two prominent local fruit-canning companies, SPC (formerly Shepparton Preserving Company) and Ardmona Foods, both of which share a rich, 80-year long heritage in Australia's food production industry. The acquisition of Henry Jones Foods a couple of years later further expanded the new company?s food manufacturing capabilities.
In 2005 Coca-Cola Amatil acquired SPC Ardmona as a valuable asset to complement the CCA beverage business. Today, we operate as an autonomous business unit within the CCA group while at the same time providing talented employees career opportunities within a larger organisation.
From humble beginnings to the present day, the company has always played an important role within the local community. As a responsible corporate citizen, SPC Ardmona continually searches for ways we can pro-actively enhance our corporate role and responsibilities in our geographic operating region. Now in its tenth year, the annual SPC Ardmona ?Share A Can? promotion is a great example of this philosophy in action. SPC Ardmona is also proud to recognise the potential of students in the Goulburn Valley and wants to harness their talents to benefit the community. A new scholarship program aims to keep the best and brightest students in the area through educational development coupled with ongoing work experience at the company.
SPC Ardmona manufactures and markets some of the best-loved food brands in Australia, with many famous names in our portfolio including SPC, Ardmona, Goulburn Valley, Taylors and IXL. Our product ranges are wide and varied with processed fruit, vegetables, meals, soups, jams, sauces, confectionery, juice and desserts among them. Company sales are made in the Australian domestic retail, food service and industrial markets. In addition, we export our products to more than 60 countries worldwide.
