Since opening its doors in 1998, St Andrew's has grown its presence around the country with offices in Western Australia, Victoria, New South Wales and Queensland. Their experienced client relations team and professional team of financial advisers deliver services to Australian financial institutions and their customers.
St Andrew's began trading with St Andrew's Insurance (Australia) providing customers with consumer credit insurance products. Despite a turbulent insurance market, profits have continued to grow each year and through an expanding list of corporate partners St Andrew's now comprises a significant share of the national insurance market. In January 2004 St Andrew's was the first company in two years to be granted with a license to provide life insurance products, marking the strength of their specialised resources, focus and experience. St Andrew's provides corporate partners with a total insurance solution including consumer credit insurance, life insurance and, through a strategic alliance with Vero Insurance, other general insurance products such as Home and Contents, Motor and Travel.
In March 2004 as part of the restructure of HBOSA, St Andrew's acquired BWA Financial Services Ltd, formerly part of Bank of Western Australia (BankWest). On joining forces with St Andrew's Insurance (Australia) and St Andrew's Life Insurance this created the HBOSA Insurance and Investment Division ("IID") and launched the start of a significant wealth management operation, providing financial solutions to the retail and business customers of BankWest.
As a key driver in the national expansion of our wealth management business, in March 2005 St Andrew's also acquired RACV Financial Services Ltd, the financial services business of Royal Automobile Club of Victoria (RACV) Limited. This Victorian based business was successfully integrated into St Andrew's Wealth Management. The Wealth Management business, based in Melbourne, provides simple, flexible investment and superannuation products alongside its financial advisory offering. Through a strategic alliance with RACV St Andrew's is also the preferred financial services provider for all RACV members.
