Who we are:
WesTrac is one of a number of privately owned companies which form the Australian Capital Equity Group, owned by Mr Kerry Stokes. WesTrac built up a solid reputation in WA over a number of years for its unsurpassed after sales service and exceptional parts availability, setting the scene for its appointment as Caterpillar distributor for NSW/ACT in April 2004. Now open at 20 locations throughout the state from Tweed Heads in the North to Albury in the South, WesTrac in NSW/ACT has over 800 staff members and is still growing to meet our customers’ requirements. A number of purpose-built facilities are in the process of being constructed, offering the latest in tooling and technology.
What we do
WesTrac is in the business of equipment management solutions – helping its customers every step of the way from choosing the right machine for any application to the best product support and after sales service in the industry. We offer a complete range of new, used and rental equipment including Caterpillar and allied products catering across all industries. Our highly trained technicians and plant mechanics are well equipped to service customer needs including maintenance and repair contracts.
Complementing WesTrac’s activities as a Caterpillar dealer, the company’s major shareholding in the National Hire Group, has provided the opportunity to offer short term rental solutions to customers through a National Hire Cat Rental Store network of existing Sydney metro stores and additional ones that will be co-located with WesTrac throughout NSW/ACT.
WesTrac is a firm believer in the value of its staff to the company, shown in the excellent benefits and opportunities afforded them including progressive disability protection and Superannuation benefits. In association with the Caterpillar Institute in WA and a variety of training institutions in NSW, WesTrac also provides and supports a range of exceptional training opportunities. With our January 2005 intake we will have more than 100 apprentices in NSW based at many of our locations, with the next intake applications being accepted in August/September 2005.
